# 387: Star Flower

I am getting into trying to post almost daily again. Couldn't post yesterday because it was a cloudy day and I couldn't get a good picture. I will have to paint a couple of days ahead now that I am Minnesota. The picture isn't great either ( I need a better camera). The pot blue is less vivid and the green/yellows are warmer in the real thing. Still, I must post!
What I am working on while painting from observation:
1. Don't overwork it
2. Paint in a more abstract manner....what I feel over what I see
3. Strong value contrast.
4. Include areas of neutral color
5. Shape.
6. Rhythm
