# 194: The Green Chair

12" x 9" oil on canvas

overall I had a better painting session this week, but rushing to finish within the 3 hour time, got lost at the end...

  1. Nicely done face, chest and arm. These parts are really handled confidently and are impressive being painted on only a 9 x 12 while still staying so focused. The "rushed" parts seem to offer support for the main subject and I don't see them as a detriment.
She looks VERY relaxed; I want a Gree chair too!

  2. I think you should let yourself got lost in the end more often. The painting has both a soft poetic feel while still being structural in form. Very enjoyable.
