# 292: Beach Front

I am going to be doing something a little different for a bit...abstract landscapes and interiors. I am focusing on pushing shape and color and am working from photos and am working a bit bigger. The goal is also to paint quickly. This one took about 90 minutes. I ma trying to loosen up a bit.
My first art opening at the hair West Salon on Saturday went really well. There was a lot of friendship and support and I sold many of my little efforts. Here I am in front of a few.

# 279: Rocker Boots

Painting shoes is a lot of fun...those these were quite difficult with the folds and all. Shoes are very personal and I have an ambition to paint the shoes of all all of my friends and family! These boots belong to my cousins fiancée and he used to where them to rock concerts.

Well it is flu season and pig is looking for a remedy. I need a remedy as well. not for the flu..been there / done that. My painting has been getting too tight. I think that I am feeling the pressure of putting up a show in a couple of weeks and so I "have to" paint some "good" stuff.
