There's a real beauty to the muted colors in this painting. And even if muted, there's still a large variety of hues dancing throughout. I'm referring to the pears, but the background is also flooded with muted variety. Definitely want to see more in this vein!
Yes … all of what Richard said, and more. This composition has a comforting rhythm – I particularly like the cast shadows and the color variety here. The soft pinks that peek through the pear skins are lovely and make me want to take a bite. Well done, Alice!
