# 161: Egg Drop

6" x 6" oil on canvas
After yesterdays painting disaster, I decided to simplify my palette with a white on white challenge. This painting was actually done a couple of hours before I "finished" it, but there is still something about it that pleases me a little.

# 160: Vibrant Grannies

6" x 6" oil on canvas

The color palette is a bit bold but sometimes Grannies and painters need to let loose. .

# 159: Strawberry Hill

6" x 6" oil on canvas

The pic is not ideal, since I took it after the sun went down. This was a fun painting. The reds where challenge, but I like how the strawberry in front turned out. That is a good thing, since it is the focal point.

# 158: Daisy Chain

6" x 6" oil on canvas

I find flowers difficult to paint, but I think that I am getting better at it. I decided to work with a high contrast value this time. Looking back at my paintings they all seem a bit subdued and so contrast will be my new objective.

# 150: Cutie with Tea

6" x 6" oil on canvas

the fabric and the reflections were fun challenges...though I might have got too caught up with the detail and therefore lost site of the whole. I will know better how I feel about it tomorrow.

# 147: Captive Pear

6" x 6" oil on canvas

Finally, I get another painting done. It has been hard to find the time and Sunday was a "wipe-out"
I decided to go with a split complementary this time.

I am a little attached to the blue glass box.

146: Jesty Peppers

6" x 6" oil on canvas
I decided to give the peppers another go before they turned. One of the great advantage to painting is that you don't always have to eat your veggies in order to appreciate them.

# 145 : Pepper Rows

6" x 6" oil on canvas
Values on a high key painting are a bit tricky. I had a lot of fun with the colors and the composition, though the composition has it's issues. I my try something similar tomorrow..

#144: Blondi

8" x 11" oil on canvas

A three hour painting session in which time I did not have time to complete the hand. It was an interesting session in that I had not painted a blond before and the skin tones were quite different than what i was used to.

I think that it is better cropped more.
