Peppers

The left overs from the drawing class found their way to my still life table this week. The green pepper was losing its freshness after a couple days.

  1. Beautiful play with color patches on the peppers, each has it's own family of hues, and they dance well as they turn the form in and out...
They have a nice real quality to them that maintains the soft/firmness of the fruit.
    I can smell them now.

  2. A nice moment expressed as a solid form build out of wonderful brush strokes.

  3. This painting feels like a summer day - very lively and inviting. The blending of seemingly unrelated colors on the plate and in the remaining negative space adds a wonderful vibrancy to your composition.
