# 40: "Desire"

6' x 6" oil on canvas

SOLD

The boundaries of the glass jar are keeping some of the apples safe from ponies voracious desire
I wish I had more time with this one...I was just working things out. But I do need to remember that the purpose is not complete finished work, but to practice everyday. I am having trouble painting at night under artificial light. The painting never look the same in the day light. I bought a day light bulb, but that didn't do the trick. Suggestions?

I painted the gray scale version for the weekly challenge on the Daily paintwork Website. it is always a good exercise to do gray scale studies and I need to do more of them. I think that my study needs some simplification

  1. your brush strokes here imply a type of movement or energy hidden within your intent.
I really like the bottom apple with its distortion and the glass reflection in front of it!

    Really nice set.
