# 78: Two in a Bowl

6" x 6" oil on canvas
SOLD

This is last nights effort. Wednesday nights I am tired and usually just start a painting to finished in the morning. However, that has not been turning out  because the next day I end up totally over working the painting. So this time i decided to work with the time and energy I had and call it finished even though it could use some "fixing" .

  1. nice dance with those murky colors...
very difficult to make anything nice out of dark muted hues, and still the colors play nicely together.

I like the bowl edge as well.

  3. I don't think it needs any fixing at all! I love it, especially the composition, the shadows in the bowl and the gorgeous golden green colours of the pears!

  4. It's always better not to overwork a painting. The trick is to know when. Your painting is lovely. Really nice warm shadow and depth to the bowl.
